“Manchester United center-back Lisandro Martinez expressed frustration over his team’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday, marking their fourth loss in nine Premier League games. The Argentine, who joined the club in 2022, lamented United’s missed first-half opportunities, including Alejandro Garnacho hitting the crossbar and Lukasz Fabianski’s diving save denying Casemiro.
‘We played very well in the first half, but our level dropped in the second,’ Martinez told MUTV.”
“I hate losing, and I hated losing that game—it’s not what we want at this club,” Martinez said.
With only three league wins, United currently sit 14th with 11 points. “Honestly, I’m very frustrated… we missed so many chances, and it’s hard to accept, but we have to,” the 26-year-old added. “We’ll give everything to bring this club back to where it belongs.”
United will host Chelsea in their next league match on Sunday, following Wednesday’s League Cup game against Leicester City.
