Manchester United legend Jaap Stam has suggested that Cole Palmer would likely relish the opportunity to join the Red Devils in the future.
Palmer has been in excellent form this season for Chelsea, building on a standout campaign last year.
The ex-Manchester City winger led the Premier League in goal contributions last season and earned accolades such as the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.
Stam also expressed surprise that United missed out on signing the talented forward.
“Manchester United legend Jaap Stam expressed surprise that United didn’t secure Cole Palmer, given his talent and proximity at Manchester City.
Speaking to Sport Lens, Stam speculated that Palmer, a fan of United, might welcome a future move.
He praised Palmer’s exceptional form and predicted his value could soar to £200m if his progress continues, making him potentially unaffordable for many clubs.”
