Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that his team lacks the strength this season to win both the Premier League and the Champions League.
He attributed this to their inconsistent form in both competitions. When asked by TNT Sports if City could reignite their title ambitions, Guardiola responded with a definitive “No.”
“We lack the necessary players. It’s more challenging this season. I don’t feel we’re in a position to aim high right now.
Maybe things will change, but for now, we need to focus on short-term goals.
Achieving major targets like winning the Premier League or reaching the latter stages of the Champions League requires consistency.
In the past, we’ve been incredibly consistent, but that’s not the case at the moment.”
