Gift Orban is close to finalizing a transfer to Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, according to Completesports.com.
Hoffenheim is in advanced negotiations with French side Olympique Lyon to acquire the striker, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“Hoffenheim are in advanced talks to sign Gift Orban as their new striker from Olympique Lyon. Negotiations are underway,” Romano posted on X.
“The deal is considered nearly complete, with Hoffenheim being the most serious team involved in talks with OL, despite interest from Turkish clubs as well.”
The 22-year-old joined Lyon from Belgian Pro League club KAA Gent in January.
The forward had a slow start to his first season at Lyon, scoring just once in 13 league matches.
However, Orban found the net twice in three Coupe de France appearances.
This season, he has scored twice in three league games for Les Gones.
