Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has emphasized the need for hard work to overcome Brentford in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. Currently second with 31 points, the Blues aim to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool.
Speaking to the club’s website, Maresca praised Thomas Frank’s work with Brentford, expressing admiration for the Bees’ progress under Frank’s leadership.
Though Maresca does not know Frank personally, he acknowledged his respect for Brentford’s consistent performance over the years.
“Thomas Frank is doing an outstanding job with Brentford, earning points and playing with an impressive style.
Their adaptability makes them a tough opponent; they can shift between different formations like a back four or a back five seamlessly. It’s going to be a challenging game that could come down to the smallest details.
As I mentioned after the Tottenham match, we’ll need the support of our fans to push through and perform at our best to secure a win.”
