Benin Republic coach Gernot Rohr has expressed confidence that Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman will win the CAF African Player of the Year award.
Lookman, included among the final nominees, had an outstanding year for both club and country.
The 27-year-old impressed with three goals and an assist in seven matches for Nigeria during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, solidifying his place as a standout performer on the continental stage.
The winger made headlines with a historic hat-trick for Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final and has contributed 11 goals and five assists in 18 appearances this season.
