Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has outlined the reasons behind his team’s struggles, with only one win in their last 12 matches (including nine defeats and two draws).
The reigning Premier League champions are currently 12 points behind leaders Liverpool after three consecutive losses.
Guardiola now focuses on turning things around in their upcoming Boxing Day match against Everton.
Meanwhile, Everton head into the game unbeaten in three, following goalless draws against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s Boxing Day clash with Everton, Pep Guardiola expressed optimism for a better performance.
“It’s about many little or big details that make us not as good as we were,” he remarked, adding that returning players could help improve results.
Reacting to Erling Haaland’s acknowledgment of needing to improve, Guardiola emphasized teamwork, stating, “It’s about the team, not just one player…
we need to use [Haaland] better.” On injuries, Guardiola noted, “We’ll assess players in training, including John Stones, who wasn’t ready for Villa Park.”
