Though he missed out on the Ballon d’Or to Manchester City’s Rodri, Vinícius secured The Best title in Qatar.
Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmatí was named The Best Women’s Player for the second consecutive year.
Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho claimed the Puskás Award for his stunning overhead kick against Everton, while Carlo Ancelotti was honored as Coach of the Year for leading Real Madrid to Champions League and LaLiga triumphs.
Emiliano Martínez, of Argentina and Aston Villa, won The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award for the second time in three years.
Emma Hayes, former Chelsea manager and current U.S. women’s national team coach, was named Women’s Coach of the Year after winning the Women’s Super League and Olympic gold in Paris with the U.S. Hayes also won the Ballon d’Or Coach of the Year award last month.
The awards, covering August 2023 to August 2024, were decided by a mix of public votes, journalists, and national team captains and coaches, with each group’s votes counting for 25%.
