Incoming Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim, has revealed he never considered leaving Sporting CP for West Ham United in the summer.
The newly appointed Manchester United’s head coach claimed that there was a meeting between his team and West United but it was not to negotiate a move to the London club.
The Portuguese told the media he had no plans to leave Sporting CP in the summer.
He was in London for a meeting with West Ham executives in April 2024.
He said, “I went to England. I didn’t go to negotiate, I went to meet the owner. I had made my decision.
“If you think I already wanted to leave last year, there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Amorim will fully take charge at Manchester United on November 11.
